There are many tutorials on the Internet for building links for any blog post and increasing its Google rankings.
The only thing I haven’t found is keyword research tips.
Nobody talks about how to find keywords that can help a new site rank faster and gain more credibility with Google.
Let me tell you my story.
I started my blogging career in 2015. I was so excited about writing amazing articles that I started to do my best to delight my readers.
I wrote articles without even caring about how many people are looking for it.
For me, my articles were the best, but I didn’t make enough money to survive.
I know you can do the same too.
Spend 3-4 hours writing one of the best materials in your industry and click the Publish button to spread your voice.
But there is still not enough traffic.
The problem is keyword research.
You are not targeting the correct keywords in your blog posts, so you are not getting organic traffic from Google.
Once you start targeting the right keywords, you can make money with Adsense or affiliate marketing.
So, today’s article is about keyword research.

There are many types of keywords, so we will understand all types before we start searching for keywords.
Once you have a comprehensive understanding of each type of keywords, it will be straightforward for you to select the right revenue-generating keywords.
Types of keywords
Short keywords, or as we call them, general keywords, are keywords that have no intent. These keywords are broad, or we call them generic.
These keywords are so versatile that, in most cases, they are not related to user intent. These keywords are difficult to monetize and very difficult to rank for.
Example: Money, Cars, Bikes, weight loss, games, WordPress, SEO
Keywords of medium length:
These keywords contain some information that is neither complete nor half.
Most of these keywords carry very little information along with them.
Example: Earn Money, Super Cars, Costly Bikes, Weight Loss Diet, Shooting Games, WordPress Themes, SEO Tips
These keywords are precise. This way, we can easily understand the user’s intent for these keywords.
Most long-tail keywords are profit-making keywords, or we call them buyer’s keywords.
If you are targeting customers looking to buy iPhone cases in Los Angeles, then your main keyword is iPhone Cases, and to create long-tail keywords, you will need to be more specific in your targeting and create some long keywords.

The idea behind the long tail keyword is that it is much easier to target the long tail keyword, “Buy Poco X2 cases in Odisha,” which is easier to focus compared to “Poco X2 cases” …
Example: Earn Money Online, Best Super Cars, Costly Bikes in India, Best Weight Loss Diet for Mom, Best Shooting Game for Android, Best WordPress Themes for Teachers, SEO Tips for Ecommerce
You will only find the search volume for these keywords at certain times of the year.
Throughout the year, people don’t search for these keywords, but when the season comes, the search volume for these keywords increases.

These are keywords that will always be present in the market. It doesn’t matter winter, spring, summer, fall; people will always search for these keywords.
If you’re planning on building a long-term website, you can start looking for evergreen keywords and create a niche website around them.
Example: How to format a USB flash drive, How to flash Samsung smartphones, How to install windows, Best Skating helmets
These keywords are the most relevant keywords for advertisers, bloggers, and marketing partners.
These are the keywords that drive sales. Anyone looking for these keywords is a buyer, so these keywords can help you make more money online.
Example: Grammar Coupon, A2Hosting Coupon, iPhone 6S Discount, Godaddy Discount, AirBNB Coupon, WP Astra Review
There are three types of buyer’s keywords:
These are problem-oriented keywords. People searching for these keywords know their pain, but they don’t know how to solve it.
Thus, these people use informational keywords to find solutions.
Example: How to lose weight, How to install WordPress, The best oil for hair removal, How to improve the body posture.
b). Navigation keywords
People who know little about a product or solution look for keywords like this.
They know about products, but they go to Google to find out more about products.
Let’s say in the information phase they find one Poco Smartphone, now they go to Google and look for “Best Poco Smartphones, Poco X2 Reviews,” “Poco M3 Pro Reviews,” and many more keywords.

c). Transactional keywords
Transactional keywords are the buyer’s keywords. These are the last purchase decision keywords in this funnel.
Whenever someone goes to Google and searches for “Where to Buy Poco X2,” “Flipkart Discount Coupons,” or “Cheap Blogging WordPress Themes,” they are at the buying stage.
These keywords are very important to making money with affiliate marketing, and in most cases, they are the most expensive keywords to serve on Google ads.
If you go to Google right now and search for any keyword containing the words Coupon, Discount, Deal, Buy, etc., you will see a lot of ads.
Because these are the keywords for making money.

These keywords are only searched for in specific geo.
Most people looking for these keywords are in the buying phase, so they are looking for these keywords.

These keywords have a very short life. They come suddenly and disappear after a few days.
Most people look for these keywords when something is happening around them.
Example: Jay Shetty visit to India, Narender Modi’s Mushroom, Mark Zekurberg’s next Startup
Keywords for the product:
These keywords are around products or brands. Most of these keywords are searched for by people who are loyal to the brand.
Example: Apple’s new iPhone, Samsung phone cases
These are the so-called Latent Semantic Indexing keywords. These keywords are closely related to your main keyword and add value to your content.
When you start adding these keywords to your articles, it becomes easier for Google to understand the purpose of your article.
The term Apple is used to refer to “Apple Fruit” and “Apple iPhone“.
So how will Google differentiate which Apple you are talking about?
They’ll just search for LSI keywords and determine which Apple you’re talking about.
If they see keywords like Install, iPhone, Steve Jobs, they think it’s Apple iPhone. On the other hand, if they see LSI keywords like food, fruit, salad, health, etc. in an article, Google will know that you are talking about Apple fruit.
We will discuss LSI keywords in the next part of this article.
Google Ads Targeted keywords
These are the keywords that most advertisers target when serving their ads on Google.
When you search for keywords on Google, you may have seen one column that says competitors are high, medium or low, this column is for advertisers.
This means that they will have to face so much competition to run ads for that keyword.
Let’s take a look at keywords in terms of Google Ads.
Broad match keywords
This is the default search setting of the Google Ads tool. When you place any keywords in your ads, by default, they target all related keywords around your main keyword.
By adding broad keywords, your ads will appear to people who are even looking for synonyms or closely related keywords.
Keyword matching phrase
Phase match ads are ads that will only appear if that particular phrase matches the ad.
For example, when you add “hire a designer” as a matching keyword, you tell Google Ads to try to serve your ad only when someone’s search has “hire a designer” or similar “hire a designer” options such as “how to hire a designer “.
Exact keyword matching
These ads yield the best results if you’re targeting the right keywords on Google.
They will only be served when people search for that particular keyword.

So in the next few steps, we’re going to find long-tail keywords because they are some of the easiest keywords to rank for.
Let’s start finding keywords
Note. I am assuming you already know how to use the Google Keyword Planner for keyword searches, so I will not cover that in this article.
We will focus on other channels where we can find keyword search ideas that you can easily rank on various search engines.
Identify your keywords
The very first step before keyword research is identifying your main keywords.
Create a list of 5-10 keywords in your niche and save them in a notepad or Excel sheet.
You must be fully aware of your niche market and sub-niche market.
Check Google automatically suggest
Google Auto Suggest is one of the great ways to find keywords that are not only good keywords but LSI and long tail keywords as well.
Whenever you try to search for something on Google, you might see something like this.

You can see that Google automatically recommends to me some of the awesome keywords around my main keyword.
Check Google search related to
Google is smart enough to understand your search queries and then recommends closely related queries to you to make it easier for you.
I searched on Google for “make money online” and it shows these searches at the bottom of the search results page.
These are so-called long keywords that you can add to your articles to make them more attractive.
Check Google Ads
I love to check Google ads whenever I start any niche blog.
The more Google ads you see around any product, the more profitable it is.

Just scrolling down a bit, I saw one niche website at the top of Google.
Once you see these ads on Google, write down the site URL and let’s move on to step 5.
Do your keyword research with the tool
You can use spy tools like SEMRush to dig deeper to find more keywords around the niche.
SEMRush gave me data that it ranks for 1.1K keywords on Google and attracts over 7000 visitors per month with this post alone.
By clicking on keywords, I found all the ranking keywords.
Now I can export this entire list to an Excel file and study the keywords to write my next blog post.
With this advanced filter installed, I can now filter all long tail keywords that will rank very easily.
We’re going to target keywords with more than 4 words as they are one of the easiest keywords to rank for.
Now I was able to filter out some awesome keywords in just a few clicks.

This is the place where people interact with each other in real-time.
They ask questions by visiting various QA sites and getting answers from experts.
My favorite Q&A site is Quora.
Quora has taken a community of users from all fields to a great level that makes it easy to get ideas from Quora.
Here you can read all the questions people ask and read these topics to find money-making keywords.
Otherwise, you can use SEMRush to make things easier for you.

Spying can bring you a lot of keywords that you haven’t even thought about.
SEMRush’s Keyword Review Tool provides you with a list of all the top articles on Google.
You can repeat the same steps that we did in Step 5 of this article.
Pick your competitors’ URL and start looking for the keywords they rank on Google.
List all of these keywords and target them in blog posts.
